I am seeking some mortgage advice. I am currently an IT contractor, 18 months into a 2 contract. However, I'm unlikely to be moved onto a permanent contract until around March time. So I suppose my question is, will LiveMore even consider me for a mortgage before then? Is there such thing as a ‘contractor mortgage’?

I have retained an IFA regarding my remortgage because I am on a fixed term contract of four years (I am a post doc researcher, it is the nature of my work that we have fixed term contracts). My contract begin date this year. I am looking for a five year fixed rate mortgage. Property worth £325k, I want to borrow £150,000. I bought the property three years ago for £220,500 and I currently owe 165k to LiveMore

For two years now I have been a self employed contractor. Mortgage options are being looked at but it's problematic. Is it worth me considering whether it would be possible for my boyfriend to get the mortgage with LiveMore in his name using our joint deposit and for me to be added at a later date?

I’m in a bit of an onerous situation in as much as I and my partner are both self-employed (contractors) without any great accounts to show, although things are on the up I hope for this to change shortly. Basically my question for you is how hard would it be to get a 75k contractor mortgage with a lender such as LiveMore?

I understand that for some mortgage companies ‘contractors’ can be a red flag to their lending decision. Are there any lenders that take the same approach to mortgages for contractors as they do for standard home loan applications. In particular I have my eye on a mortgage deal with LiveMore
