Consent to Let - Lloyds Requirements

All lenders have their own requirements when it comes to consent to let. This page sets out to enlighten residential conveyancing solicitors on the Lloyds conveyancing panel where the firm’s client wishes to rent out their property. Lloyds requirements state that if in advance of completion of the conveyancing retainer, the borrower informs you of an intention to let the property you should advise the borrower that any letting of the property is prohibited without prior consent to let from Lloyds. If the borrower wishes to let the property after completion then an application for consent to let should be made to Lloyds by the borrower.
